Sep. 19th, 2026 05:34 pmIt's been a week. I thought we were finally getting a break from the heat but no, we're having the hottest days of the summer. After the ER visit, I'm more reticent about sitting on the porch, even with my fan blowing on me. I haven't been as productive as I would have liked, but I did get some cleaning done. And a lot of watching The Mentalist. I have a tendency to dive deep into the binge and this is my current visual obsession.
I've been putting off writing my LJ Idol entry. Too many ideas in my head. Last night, I finally set up my laptop to write. I went through several topics before I finally hit on one that I was at least somewhat happy with. I've given it to Partner J to proofread for me. Hopefully I'll get it up tomorrow. He's out at a Ren Faire with my metas so he hasn't had a chance to proof it yet.
I heard from the body shop that has my car. Apparently there was more damage under the good. It's going to add about $1500 more to the price I was given but I'm the grand scheme of things, it's still a better option than anything else. And being a local company, they're very conscious about making sure they treat people right. They wanted to make sure I knew they weren't cheating me so asked me to come in so they could show me the broken parts. They have the same ethics as my mechanic and I am all for it. Hopefully, I'll have my car back by the end of next week. I need to get back out to make money for my trip.
I scheduled my next trip up to see Partner J and my metas. I'm planning on going up at the end of October. Partner J and Meta C will be out of town the first weekend in there, but that just means I get a chance to hang with Meta G. She's the one that does my hair so I'm hoping that we can take care of it that weekend. It shouldn't be too hard to make the money for it. Especially if I can get a Quest that let's me earn more in a shorter time.
Tomorrow night, I'm getting a chance to go to karaoke again. It's been months since I've been out and I can really use the chance to sing. I need to talk to my friend that organizes setting it up. She loves to sing duets and I'm hoping we can sing one tomorrow. I just have to decide what cute outfit to wear.
